Room View

Warning rant ahead. Today I was to fly from Zihuatanejo to Puerto Vallarta via Mexico City. I have been watching the flights the past week and almost every one to Mexico City has been delayed. My connection, which Aeromexico let me book, is very tight, so I expected to miss the connection to PV. I also knew that there was after the one I expected to miss so I wasn't worried. When I got to the airport, sure enough the flight was going to be delayed enough that I would not make the connection. Unfortunately for me, the later flight was already overbooked by 23 people and my next option was 7:00 am the next day. When I asked about hotel accommodations I was told that the delay was due to weather, so I was on my own for making arrangements (and paying). When I landed in Mexico City an hour and a half later it was 73º with scattered clouds and not a storm in sight. While this view from my hotel room is nice, it would be nicer still if Aeromexico owned up to their mis-scheduling and compensated me for the extra expense.
