Between fen and mountains

Low cloud

It has now been raining for over 24 hours. For the first time in living memory, the Remembrance day ceremony outside the Mairie had to be brought inside. The Maire gave his usual address (see extra) and also read out the names of those French soldiers killed in action this year. It was pouring down but amazingly, as he read the names, the sun came out for thirty seconds and the room was based in sunlight. The rain never stopped. Afterwards, there were the usual drinks and nibbles provided by the commune.
