Remembrance Day!

After yesterday’s marathon journey, I was really pleased to find that today and tomorrow I’m at a school literally eight minutes from home. It’s where I trained, many moons ago, and it was quite an amazing coincidence to find myself back in my very first classroom again!

Another amazing coincidence is that one of the other supply teachers was someone I used to work with a few years ago. He left to take a job at the school my kids went to and actually became their maths teacher. I don’t know why he’s doing supply now but I suspect our stories are fairly similar.

At 11am, we all observed a two minute silence. Hard to believe it’s already that time of year.
