Autumn Plumage

Another day another arboretum, Batsford this time, and another Blipmeet. 
A good turn out today, twelve of us!

The Acers and the beech trees are looking really beautiful at the moment. The coffees and lunches were pretty good too.

I thought at first the pheasant under the tree was one of the sculptures and carvings they have around in the grounds, but it proved to be the real thing and it thought if it kept very still we wouldn't see it but camouflaged well though it was I managed get a photo of its beady eye through the foliage.
The extra is a spindle tree  (I think) against a clashing beech hedge.
