For Meg
My elderly neighbour passed away in her asleep. I’m pleased for her. It’s the end of an era. Meg and her husband Jimmy were our neighbours when we moved in. I can’t say that we had the best of relationships but Jimmy died the same year as David and since then I’ve tried to help whenever asked.
I was up early to take my car for a service. It was a foggy start to the day but it was a lovely day driving back in the courtesy car seeing all of the trees changing colour. I don’t get out enough. My son picked the card up for me so I didn’t have to find time to collect it.
At the end of the working day I sat in the garden watching the sky change.
