Black-headed Gull
They’re noisy, greedy and can be a real nuisance but they are the most attractive of the gulls up at the Heritage Park.
I haven’t been there for many weeks but was so glad that I went today. The temperature was 10° but with the absence of wind it felt much warmer and the sun was shining adding a real sparkle to parts of the loch.
I was pleased to see that a team of council workers had been working up at the wee nature reserve clearing broken branches and cutting back some of the undergrowth. What a difference and we can now see any activity from the path. It’s a favourite area for the Canada Geese to nest but it will be many months before that happens.
