Skating at Somerset House

This is the ice rink which is installed in the courtyard of Somerset House off The Strand, in central London, for the Christmas season which,this year, seems to have arrived even earlier. It is not open to paying customers just yet. I have skated there with my kids numerous times. It is a great setting and the rink is large enough to enjoy some good runs - once you've got your balance! A nice glass of mulled wine afterwards completes the seasonal experience.
