Visit to the Big City

Well Norwich but compared to everywhere else near to us that is a big city.
We are not used to cities but it was quite pleasant and not very crowded. The idea was to try and find some Christmas presents but, to be honest, we did not try too hard.
This is the inside of the Royal Arcade, built near the very end of Queen Victoria's reign. Sadly it has lost a lot of its tenants lately so there are many empty shops but the ones that remain are rather special. There is a hand made chocolate shop, a family owned shoe shop, a macaroon emporium and a ladies dress shop that specialises in 1950's styles amongst others. However it is the architecture that is most impressive, the painted decorations on the walls, the glass roof and the stunning lamps.
I like this place
