The web of jewels.

Lots of spider's webs around, made visible by the misty, damp air. Morning at the new house and afternoon in Medsted. The owners are away and I found a letter from the council telling them the road outside will be closed next Monday. That could be an ideal opportunity to trim the Beech hedge which is badly overhanging the road. Phoned the council to speak to the named contact but was told (despite they work in the same department!!!) she didn't have a phone number for him. Why are they so evasive? She emailed me a link, to make contact. The auto reply says it might be two weeks before a reply aaarrgh!!
