Buzzards Roost

Laura wasn’t working today, so was able to come with us to Buzzards Roost in Adam County, which we have visited a number of times before, and I have posted a few times. As we started up the trail (about 5.5 miles return), the colour was a bit disappointing, as many of the trees had already lost most of their leaves, but as we climbed, the intensity of the colour increased, and it was wonderful, with colourful leaves above as well as covering the trail, so it was difficult to make out in places. Another gorgeous Fall day, but the magic will end soon. Rain is in the forecast for Wednesday, with cloud and cooler temperatures to follow, and of course the leaves continue to fall every day.
