Storm Crows

It's strange how sometimes you see something you think will be a good image but after some twiddling it becomes something entirely different.

This started life as a simple storm clouds shot in West Byfleet - very dramatic dark snow clouds gathering opposed with bright sunlight on white bare branches of a tree-lined road. And perched right in the top of the tallest tree about 10 black crows.

Even after some heavy doctoring to increase contrast the result, although dramatic, was far less striking than this final close crop of the top of the tree starkly contrasted against the white washed sky with the silhouette of the black birds gives an almost 'Lithograph' style print.
