Reflecting

Armistice Day is a time when we should all be grateful for the freedoms we enjoy.

There was a time when everybody in whichever school I was in at the time would congregate for a minute's silence and a reading at 11 o'clock. Now the occasion seems to pass by unnoticed by the younger generation.

I hope parents are informing their children of the significance of the day and what it means to them, even though they don't realise it.

Lest we forget completely.
