Photographer in the making

Mum has always liked to take photos but sadly her current memory issues means she swings from denying she ever owned a camera to being intensely frustrated that she ‘ has never been shown how to use ‘ this one she’s had for about 10 years. So today I stuck little memory jogging labels on it to try and help. Life with a failing memory is so very hard :( And frightening.
It was a good way to round off my visit which had included attending the online funeral of a very dear friend from Africa days who died , aged 90 a few weeks ago. Living as he did on the south coast of England meant a long wait for the funeral. Lots of memories invoked for both of us and a few tears shed for friends. He was the father of my longest standing friend who has also lost her mum and her husband in the last year. Life can be so very cruel.
