River Lodden @ Old Basing

We stopped for lunch at Barton's Mill, an old corn mill, now a pub next to the River Lodden at Old Basing. It seemed as if we had gone back in time as looking around we were surrounded by people from the time of Cromwell and the Civil War - members of the Sealed Knot who regularly hold re-enactments in the grounds of Old Basing House nearby.

It seemed fitting to give this photo of the railway viaduct over the river a suitably aged look.
