Knowing I would be indulging in my plebeian pursuit of watching Horse racing on TV this afternoon; and following A. getting her booster jab this am we decided to take a short stroll around the block.  On the playing fields the gulls flocked and swooped  over a fresh pile of bread.

Back home in time to watch the regional news and weather followed by racing from Cheltenham on ITV4. The 2:20 was a two horse race (poor) but it was worth the licence fee to watch live, possibly, one of the greatest recoveries from a fall by a horse, and the most amazing sit by a jockey. See extra. The fact that the jockey was Rachel Blackmore (again) adds to the story.
