Woodhorn Museum

The Woodhorn Museum tells all about the life of a miner in one of the hundreds of pits in Northumberland. Difficult arduous work was extremely dangerous. Boys often started work in the pit age 14 and worked a 12 hour shift.
An excellent Museum well worth a visit.
