Potatoes for Xmas!

I had two mangy potatoes left at the bottom of the bag sprouting away quite nicely so I cut them in half and jammed them into the garden, didn't even water them.
Yesterday I went around the back and low and behold one of them has sprouted leaves!
Woohoo, tatties for Xmas dinner perhaps?
