Enjoying an early spring morning outing with our grandsons at Fort Independence, Castle Island, in Southie (South Boston). We used to come here with our kids when they were this age. Besides exploring the outside of the Fort, we watched planes land and take off across the harbor, saw a fire boat, a tug pushing a barge, threw rocks into the. water, rolled down many hills many times, visited the playground and had a picnic. Great time was had by all!
