Sunlight through the gingerbread tree

...as the kids used to call it. We all still do, in fact. Today was a surprise of blue skies and warmth, a continuation of our beautiful week. I guess it rained in the night, but instead of continuing all day (as forecast) the taps turned off. 

A good day of books (discussion and writing), D. shepherding, exercise, and all the things that wrap up the week. A big, overdue pruning job out in the garden at sunset. Extra of a little figurine I uncovered; there was a rustling nearby in the faded zinnias as I took the shot. I love working outside as it's getting dark and chilly. D. found the Pleiades.
