A grave day

Over in Newton Mearns today visiting my brother. 

For the last 10 years or so, mum had always been concerned about the condition of her mums gravestone (our grandmother who died in 1959, before we were born), however, nothing had been done about it, until today, that is. 

Mark and I decided to get some some gravestone cleaning spray (who would have thought something like this existed, but it does!) and give it a spruce up, and were quite pleased with the result. We think mum would have been pleased with our efforts.

After this, I treated Mark to lunch at the local Piccolino Italian restaurant.

Now back in Musselburgh, relaxing, watching ‘Mamma Mia’, which always makes me happy. It was one of mum’s favourite films too.
