Tooled up

It’s a gorgeous day. The washing is almost dry and Angus’ new Makita drill has two fully charged batteries. He packs the car and heads back to Largs.

I tidy up the shed and put the tractor back in. The ride-on won’t start, so Nick and I shove it in and put the battery on charge. Then it’s time to rearrange the pump in the burn and take another wheelbarrow of rubbish down to the bins.

Tonight I’m making green tomato chutney to Flashcube’s mother’s recipe. I scale it up from lbs to kgs. Should do a few jars to sit maturing next to the 20 jars of cucumber and apple chutney from earlier in the autumn.
