River Tweed, near Melrose
2nd Saturday of the month, and our local walking group were off down to The Scottish Borders for the day - most of us caught the train from Waverley to Tweedbank, and then we basically walked a combination/variation of these two ‘circular routes’:
* Tweedbank to Abbotsford House (& back)

---followed by
* Tweedbank to Melrose (& back)

Absolutely glorious weather all day long, and I really liked this shot taken from above the River Tweed, looking downstream towards Melrose ...
... and tragically, before heading back up to Edinburgh on the train, we even managed to find a pub in Tweedbank - a most enjoyable end, to an excellent day :-)
