Can you see the flaw in this?

Reduced. On the day this food "runs out". Fair enough, even though one wonders how quickly cheese "goes off".

But the bit that really gets me is the "No further discounts apply".

The implication of that is that if this doesn't sell at £2.90, they will happily throw this food in the bin, rather than drop the price further.

Generations that follow us (if we survive that long) will look back at our wasteful and consumptive lifestyles and ask "What the HELL were you all thinking of????"

I plan to write the company selling this cheese and try and get some understanding about the logic behind this...
