At the going down of the sun

And in the morning we will remember them.

As well as the awful human cost of war, approximately 8 million horses, mules and donkeys lost their lives in WW1.

There was a very good turn out at the memorial in Millom this morning.
Every generation seemed to be represented.
Young and old. Veteran and civilian. For some, it was their first Remembrance Sunday. For a few, still proudly wearing their medals, it could possibly be their last.

We must never forget.
