Midway

Long trial walk today.
After attending the Remembrance Service at the village war memorial we headed off for a longish walk to test the leg. At this time we were approaching the furthest point from home and you can see the rain clouds gathering.
We managed lunch in the dry but it started raining soon after and we had nearly an hour trudging through heavy drizzle. The leg held up reasonably well but started to ache a lot when we were on the last mile. Not helped by a sideways slide on the mud ending up with me on the deck.
Overall nearly 7.5 miles and after tea and cake I’ve recovered enough to be able to cook a roast dinner.
