Skiddaw

DIdn't sleep well last night but still woke early and the rain and wind had gone.
J&S left 8-ish to go and run a new parkrun in Aspatria and then on to the other sister's until tomorrow. Mr Rat went next to do Whinlatter parkrun as he hadn't done it before (I have an ddidn't want hills today) and I jogged down the hill to do Keswick parkrun - with a few stops for pics. The blip is Skiddaw from the end of the street.
I ran nearly as fast as April 2014, much to my surprise, though the course is slightly easier since the tunnel was opened up and the trackbed re-surfaced.
Once showered and watered we went down the town with more charity shop offerings and some down items to a shop that takes them for recycling, also a bit of shopping to stock up on Cumbria beer. Then more sorting and tidying, chatting to ex-brother-in-law, his partner, his son and his wife (that's the nephew who got married a few weeks ago) who's come to see if there was anything they wanted. (All family members were asked if they wanted things and the fact they all do shows how much Mum, and Dad when he was alive, have been appreciated.
We left the house as clean and tidy as possible in the circumstances as a photographer is coming next week - on a good day so they can get the view.
We also spoke to the man who owns the house across the road and rents it out and is interested in buying Mum's to live in.
All done before dark so we headed home with a boot totally packed with things. In all 8 large bootfuls of things were removed to various places over the 2 days.
