Ilfracombe <3
Didn't have the best sleep last night - the bed was too soft (sorted that out by removing the mattress topper), there was too much light coming into the bedroom from the parking area outside (half-sorted that out by stringing up a sheet at the window) and Tim suddenly got far too hot (sorted by opening the balcony door and letting in a load of sea air) - so a bit knackered today, but we had a lovely day anyway.
Went to Tesco first to stock up for the week - then 'home' for some lunch and a (really, really good) cuppa (maybe it's the water here?). After that, we had a wander down Torrs Park road, then back for a bit of a rest and another cuppa - and then out again (by car this time) to the Chambercombe area. We parked up at Hillsborough recreation grounds, and had a little walk up onto the hill there (the one you can see in the background here - we made it as far as that green path in the middle). Stunning views from up there. We decided to come back and walk more of it another day this week - with proper walking boots.
Back to the apartment again, and Tim caught up on yesterday's F1 race, while I did my best to stay awake (it was a struggle!) I woke up a bit by helping Tim tape a load of black bags up at our bedroom window (classy, but necessary after last night's distrubed sleep), then cooked us some dinner. I think I might actually make it to bedtime now!
