Wheels in motion

I had a small shopping assignment in Enfield this afternoon. It’s not far away but always a nightmare to drive to. So the bike it was. On the way back I did an exploratory detour and found myself gazing down at a scrapyard. The commotion of the massive grabs tossing huge lumps of metal about was impressive. The crane flicked open the backdoors on the lorry, up went the back and dozens of scrap wheels tumbled out .

The grab proceeded to pick up the rims and toss them in handfuls onto the heap of metal. By coincidence I watched an animated film yesterday called The Iron Man - a story by Ted Hughes. The giant in that would have been at home in this scrapyard. Thanks to Carolina for hosting mono Monday.
