MVMW concert day 1

And what a long but fantastic day it was!
The theme was
3G - Gis Ges und Geiger
In English G sharp, G flat and violin.
It’s a play on the 3G certificate rules here in Switzerland, Geimpft, Getestet oder Genesen
So vaccinated, tested or recovered from Covid.
The day started at 9.30, setting up the hall with tables and chairs for 220 guests, decorating the tables, stage, getting the kitchen and bar ready, Tombola etc.
Then after a few hours back at home, ready for sound check at 17.50 on the stage. We played two pieces with a professional violinist, so fantastic, every sound he made was like magic. Schindler’s List and Czardas von Monti , fantastic and very difficult for me on third Clarinet.
The concert went by with few hitches, a few wrong notes, but with an amazing atmosphere. Our guests were so happy to attend such a village event, after postponing our last 2 concert. I worked until 12 at the cake and coffee corner, we sold over 20 homemade gateaux! Then spent time at the bar having a few caipirinhas, and was home by 3am!
