Happy Easter

A very hurried get-out-of-bed this morning to get to church for nine thirty. wrapped up warm, noticed Anna had come prepared wearing two thermal vests! It is a lovely church but very cold!

Vicar used an iPad for her sermon, nice to see the 21st Century in a 12th Century building! Anna was cast as Mary Magdalene (!) and Jack was somewhat aptly cast as John, with their friend Steven as Peter, to act out the garden scene which involved much running up and down the aisle. New ways to keep warm. The children also helped out during the service, carrying the candle to the front (nervous moment for anyone who knows Anna!) and re-baptising people with a pastry brush - honestly it all made sense if you were there. Afterwards followed the annual Easter egg hunt in the churchyard, accompanied this year by snowflakes...last year the eggs melted in the sun!

The Easter Bunny has managed to deliver the eggs to our garden all by herself this year which isn't easy. Lunch with Auntie Jo and then a quiet afternoon. Have a good day everyone and eat lots of chocolate. xx
