An Loch Seunta

One of the names in Gaelic for the Holy Loch in Cowal is "An Loch Seunta" which means "the enchanted loch".

This morning the light was sharp , but the colours somewhat drained by an overcast sky.   None the less it did look a little otherworldly, though it is hard to reconcile this very highland, west coast view with the fact that not much more than a quarter of a century  ago it would have had in it a US nuclear submarine depot vessel, and perhaps a nuclear sub as well.
