The Gatehouse

The lower lodge gatehouse to Spitchwick House is about 4 miles north of Ashburton in Devon. It is reached  by a narrow lane, lined with beech trees, beside the River Dart. It's hard to be disappointed by the Autumn colour here, although the trees are now loosing their leaves quite rapidly.
