New pastures

A hill I've not been up before and three kilometres from the nearest road over some pretty boggy terrain.
We cheated and used an estate boat with D's new toy, an electric outboard, to get to the base of it. Being at the summit, one could appreciate the remoteness of the spot. But even here, there was the remains of a small hut, presumbly used for some sort of pastoral activity.
Dificult underfoot, I was suitably tired on getting home before setting off to the Dark island, a local hotel that has undergone a face-lift over the summer. Much better surroundings than hitherto and a half decent meal.
