Trudge

Where I am staying is around two kilometres from the deserted beaches along this stretch of the Mozambican coast. Today I took a very hot sweaty walk through tracks and dunes to the Indian Ocean. The beach was stunning and virtually empty but unfortunately it was too hot to lounge, and the sun was so high in the sky that I couldn’t cower beneath a dune. I trudged back and had a refreshing outdoor shower, which is always liberating.
