Meet ‘Babs’

My friend L. has spent many weeks on our millinery course making this amazing headpiece she has christened ‘Babs’.

It consists of LOTS of layers of tulle all gathered together, and she has interspersed some tiny feathers for texture. it is really quite stunning . 

I know several of you are intrigued in ‘behind the scenes’ , so my extra shows the work space  of the lady next to me. She has even more hats on the go than me! 

I worked on my ‘polar express’ hat today, and am going to stitch in the head fitting to Bake Off!
