Assault and batteries
My contribution to the renovations today was a further visit to the tip with items of furniture that we have not been able to freecycle, sell or have collected by charities. There are only a few things left to do now.
We had accumulated a fair number of batteries over some time. These went to tip as well. Peering into the barrel just made you realise how many batteries we are throwing away and how, until recently, they were simply discarded into landfill. Now we use recharables. Thanks to Sheol for hosting Tiny Tuesday. A similar blip to last Friday’s shot of a skip full of small electricals.
Susan planted out her winter bedding this afternoon while I wrote my statement for tonight’s Full Council meeting, made dinner and peeled some 150 onions for pickling.
The Full Council meeting was very entertaining. More challenge on Project A from more councillors as they realise the chaos the project is causing. All will rest on the outcomes of the consultation. The Council has resolved to appoint an independent consultant to analyse all the responses and write a report.
