Belties at dusk

I went for a little local bike ride late afternoon, taking Walt to find the Langdyke herd of belted Galloways. We were rewarded with a first sighting of this young calf down in the swampy margins of the nature reserve. Cycled across the manned east coast mainline crossing on a little side lane - brig Sunday there are fewer trains so I got lucky and didn’t have to wait more than a few minutes for the gate to be opened.
