Admiring the view
Such as it is. During the summer the view from our living room windows is completely obscured by the triffid. Not necessarily a bad thing since it filters out the sun. In winter the bare branches let the sun shine in. And in autumn it's rather pretty. Guest appearance by Mystère. Taking a backlit photo of a black cat: not easy.
It was cold and windy, fire lit early. Tuesday night is pizza night, but attendance at the bar consisted only of me, S, J-L and G. We roped in A and B to help us finish the bottle, and then they invited us back to their house to finish their bottle plus another one. And some bread and cheese. It was nice to have a proper chat with them (even though we saw them in company on Saturday) as they are here for the first time in nearly two years. And Ann read us her prize-winning Scots poem about climbing Ben Lomond. A lovely impromptu evening.
