Carole and Douglas

Left Surrey back of 9 this morning and then drove up the M40 and the M6. We stopped off at Sedbergh for a late lunch (rather than yet another service station). Unfortunately we coincided with the day that most places were shut but thankfully found a pub (Red Lion) with good food and a roaring log fire. I would definitely recommend it.
Once we got home we were reunited with Douglas (our next door neighbour) who we hadn’t seen for nearly 2 years as he was stuck in New Zealand due to Covid. Lovely to see him and Carole together again. Enjoyed watching GBBO with Carole despite the fact that my favourite went out. Mr P and I had a wonderful road trip but it is good to be back home.
