Shrek's ears?

I noticed this unusually coloured fungus in Pollok Park today. Usually they are a mushroom brown so in wondering why these are green.

I've just signed up for the 5x50 challenge, 5k a day for 50 days, so I'm going to be spending a lot of time in this park. I took part last year and ran it nearly every day. However I'm full of cold just now, and have had lots of aches and pains recently so I'm going to start off slowly.
