New reality day 477

First real vacation day!

We went up the Vuokatinvaara Hill. Found the viewpoint, but it was so foggy that we saw absolutely nothing but white. Oh, there was snow uphill. The trails were so ice that it was nearly impossible to go anywhere. We'll try again downhill on Friday. Tomorrow will be rainy day.

Then we took the dogs to the house and left to see Sotkamo. Sotkamo turned out to be in a beautiful place between lakes. We checked out the Hiukka recreational area with beautiful sandy beach with ridges. It's not called Riviera of the North for nothing. Saw the famous statue which is dedicated to an author.

After lunch I was so tired that even after a cup of coffee I napped. Which was brilliant. I only napped for 15 minutes and woke up with energy. (I think the antibiotics make me a bit tired.)

Then another dog walk and off to bowl. We didn't have any reservations, but just went in to see if there was a lane empty and there was. We get bowling at our hotels -50%, but the guy attending the bowling alley let us go for free as we came so last minute so there was no paying customer coming for that hour anymore. That was really nice of him.

After that we went for pizza. We get -50% off from some restaurants in our hotels, so eating out at our hotels in pretty cheap for me. We have some great staff discounts for sure. I feel so lucky.
