Kestrel and Barn Owl

We took an impromptu trip over to Parkgate this afternoon to see if we could see any owls - I was really hoping to see a shortie as I've not seen one this year yet. We didn't arrive until nearly 3pm which was quite late in the day and it was already quite dark.  I quite clearly need to sort out my settings as my shots were all very grainy and the auto ISO was ridiculously high. The barn owl was only up for a few minutes and I didn't get many shots. I did try a few other settings but just couldn't get it sharp and light enough at all. I definitely need more help and practice. 

But I did like this one where the kestrel was chasing the barn owl, even though it's not very clear.
