Meet Paul
Firstly, I should like to thank everyone for the amazing response to my three crocus blips. I have received over 1,740 views and 488 comments so far, which I think is staggering. I am trying to answer everyone, but if I haven't reached you yet, I will do so very shortly. Thank you all so much.
This is Paul. Paul is 22 years old and our youngest son. He is quite a character and tricky to pin down. I grabbed him whilst home for two days.
Paul has always had a great Wanderlust and desire to do good. He has already seen a great deal of the world. Three years ago he spent two months in Tanzania teaching First Aid and Biology in local village schools before setting off with a small group to climb Kilimanjaro (before the Celebs!) to raise money for the good causes he supported.
Edinburgh University awarded him a scholarship to spend a year at Trinity College, Toronto University where within one week of arriving he was elected President. At the end of his year, he spent three months in a remote district of Mongolia having raised over £10,000 to be used in his project of providing an outdoor camp for street children from Ulumbataar. It was a huge success.
The downside was being bitten by a Viper. The local witch doctor had no success at treating him and in a deteriorating condition, with the risk of losing his leg, he made the long journey to Ulumbataar, on his own, where he spent over a week in hospital being treated. He had the viper bite tattooed as a reminder of the event!
He has also travelled to New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Africa and North America as well as crossing Siberia by the Trans Siberian Express to China.
Like his eldest brother, he graduated from Edinburgh University with a First Class Honours Degree and was awarded the prize for best dissertation and student. He read Geography having switched from Ecology at the end of his first year.
It's always great to see him and he is now working in London as a digital media product analyst. I haven'ta clue what that is, so don't ask me!!:)
