In just a few days time...
...I will have to move out of here.
.It's all too fast.
Wow, one semester.. just like that.
I was just settling in, making piles of mess (of notes, of clothes, of generally, y'know, stuff) that I could actually call my own.. when it's time for me to move out.
I know what I won't miss..
the inevitable insects which fly in our common bathroom and bedrooms from the forest right across our block, the tsk-tsking of lizards, the wrongly-timed blaring of music from my neighbour's and of people playing basketball in the middle of the night (when there's exams for some of us the next day..).
What I will miss are...
- Auntie Annie, the ever-smiley elderly clearing lady who comes in and clear our block's common areas. She's actually the person I speak to the most often within the compounds of our residence. Do pray for her daughter who has just undergone an operation.. they are waiting for the doctor's report to see if she has any cancerous cells.
- Approachable and cheery Blk Head, Nicole, and the neighbours on our floor.. We hardly come into contact with one another, but everyone's generally nice and friendly, and more often than not, considerate too.
- The chatty and friendly 'ol canteen uncle who hands us our meals as he asks about our days, our exams, about almost anything at all.
- My quiet, comfy, serene little room and the very warm orange glow of my study table light. Where I've spent crazy waking moments doing essays through the night, tippy-tappity on my laptop, taking experimental shots with with tripod and Lumix, reading, or just sleeping my arse off on very emotionally-draining days.
- Doing things together with Shihui. From the long walks back, to late night chats.. trying our darn best at photoshop while amusing ourselves with 'SW Yoga', spur-of-the-moments like taking a cab to Mc's, letting BTC bus take us for a ride (in all sense of it! heh), surprising each other with food and century eggs.. and much much more. Shihui, thanks for all these little moments, really, thank you :)
.It's all too slow.
Waiting for my exams to be over is just too e-x-c-r-u-t-i-a-t-i-n-g at times.. like now.
Like when I see the number of empty rooms around the residence compound; like when I see people pulling their luggages behind them and waiting for a cab to bring them home or to the airport; like when I hear the opposite block of roomies indulging in an off-tune duet last night; like when I see people just chillin'...
Like when I see my piles and piles of notes and readings and wonder when it's going to be over.
When?WhEn?WHEN?
2 more days= 48hours= 2880mins= 172800secs
Then it'll be the HO-HO-HOLIDAYS!!! 3 months of it!
And in the short span of the subsequent 10 days:
- Packing my stuff back home!
- Settler's Cafe with ExCo!
- Outing with Meilin + Yingzhen + Tingyi!
- Visits to all my aunts'!
- A well-rested sleep!!! (seriously!)
- A camp!
- Flying off on an overseas tour with my Dad, Aunt and Cousin (my bro's working, he can't make it).
3 months.
Imagine the possibilities..
woah.
but first,
STUDY!
"hang in there gal, just hang in there..!"
