Decorating

How to decorate a landing:

1. Underestimate the task at hand and try to remove wallpaper that's been up for 20 years, has had numerous coats of paint and seems to have been attached to the wall with the Devil's Own Glue, armed only with a small scraper.

2. Give up and await the arrival of the cavalry

3. Ply old people with red wine and sticky toffee pudding before setting to again, this time armed with a stripper.

4. Cue much "ooh I wouldn't do it like that," a bit of swearing, a "bloody 'ell, plaster's come off!" and a couple of "should it look like that?"

5. Finish

6. Drink more wine and admire handiwork.
