Trunk Road

The beech trees in the wood have almost all shed their leaves. But not all leaves reached the ground. This tree has a slice of its trunk which is at a right angle to the trunk. The edges of this slice have rolled inwards. Before autumn I imagined it as a walkway for birds or insects. Now it’s a long tray full of fallen leaves.
