Hodder

A three hour walk today in the Hodder Valley. We had to cross the river twice on stepping stones near the start and later on at the rather untidy Stakes Farm.

On the way around we saw a cheese press, dating back to 1860 and, near a quarry, a lime kiln.

Precious bodily fluids were restored afterwards at the wonderful Inn at Whitewell.
