Keep on Truckin'
Trucks keeping the rising sun out of our eyes!
This blip is dedicated to the truckers in the US. Long haul truckers (or just short pickup and delivery guys) are the greatest asset for all Americans. We got behind, passed and were followed by probably 200 or more trucks in this 10-1/2 hour driven day. They work long hours, sleep in the truck on the side of the road, have lonely days as they leave family at home and have to eat truck stop food. They deserve so much thanks from all of us. They keep America going! They are heroes!
Traveling in Nebraska today we passed a gazillion gazillion acres of corn and soybean fields, hay fields and maybe winter wheat. When you think about the number of people in the US...329.5 million...the supply chain from farmers, ranchers, processors, packagers and whatever else it takes to get food from veggies to meat, fresh or frozen is mind boggling. And it all depends on truckers. Farmers are heroes also.
Another long day tomorrow, probably 10 hours on the road to get to Tate's house for the night. Good thing we get up EARLY as we are on the west side of St. Louis, MIssouri and will hopefully be ahead of the going to work traffic. I will be glad to get home...and I love traveling...except with my husband! He is always in a hurry!
