St Abbs

Headed to Northumbria via St Abbs. We arrived at the hotel just as the sun was setting- what a glorious sunset! But I decided to blip this bronze sculpture in St Abbs. It depicts the women and children looking out to sea the fateful night of a terrible storm in 1881.when three fishermen lost their lives. 189 fishermen from the east coast lost their lives that night. There was something quite haunting about the sculpture (see extras).
