Up Up and Away!

My blip plan for today was to go to Kjeller (a small airfield outside Oslo) to look for interesting veteran airplanes to catch in flight. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of activity out there - but I did catch this veteran jet fighter that I remember well from my own air force days in the late seventies. It's a modified version of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter supersonic fighter aircraft, built in Canada by Canadair under license. It served in the Royal Norwegian Air Force from 1963 to 1981, when it was replaced by the F16 Falcon.

I wish it was captured in flight - but it wasn't. This specimen is firmly mounted on the ground ;-)
